Riding Rainbows

Running through raindrops, do you worry will it
        Ever stop?
Lightning and thunder, deluge in torrents
Make me wonder: break in a moment or
We're running through raindrops?
We're riding on rainbows, riding rainbows.

Wake the livelong day to skies of sun not
        Turning grey.
Then, melting shadows, windows narr'wing,
Dark curtains that blow show'ring our parade.

'Long the waterfall, through the fury be
        Shootin' the curl.
Beware, rising waters, undertow currents
Wreaking slaughter -- take me to the bridge!
      No umbrellas slow tornadoes,
          Blowdowns the wind throws,
             Or brake the tidal surge.
                  So . . .

We're running through raindrops,
Riding on rainbows, we're riding rainbows.

Going to promised land, no tomorrow, no
        Weather planned.
Storms of sufferin' try oceans' endurance;
An eye discover in the hurricane.

Little Mary Sunshine, Pollyanna sees a
        Rainbow sign,
Beauty o' sunset, pocketful of change.
Having fun yet? Get us through this trial,
Running through raindrops.
Riding on rainbows, we're riding rainbows.

Grassy green hillside

Grassy green hillside --

Two deer lick each others' necks.

Trees' red leaves, blooms white.
